FOR STUDENTS AND OTHER NONPROFIT USE
I sincerely
hope you have enjoyed this website, and that perhaps it will
be a useful resource for any school projects or reports you
may have. Since this website has been active, I have received
hundreds of requests from students around the world - requesting
to reprint my stories, information or photographs for their
school work.
I have always considered these requests from students and
regularly approve use of my images for school related work,
and have almost always granted permission for the use of my
images and stories for other nonprofit purposes. There are
several requirements you must meet if you would like to use
my photographs or stories :
1) The use of images and stories are for your own personal
presentations, projects, homework or reports - and are not
for any for-profit use. (I.e.: You aren't going to make any
money off of my work.) The goal and intention of your work
must be the education of your audience about the subject.
2) You include the correct copyright information when you
use any of my photographs or stories. The following information
is to be included with the photograph or story :

It is also agreed that if your project is web-based, that a
link back to this website (www.homesafe.com/pompeii) will be
established in a prominent position within the website.

3) You are requested to write
me a quick e-mail (@@@) to tell me what
you are going to use the copyrighted materials for. This can
be a very simple note, and I am not requesting a detailed account,
or any personal information you do not want to share. I just
like to know when my photos are used, and enjoy hearing from
those who would like to use them.

INFORMATION
ABOUT FOR-PROFIT USE OF IMAGES AND STORIES
In addition
to meeting the above criteria in full, individuals or groups
who would like to use my images or stories in any for-profit
endeavor, or for any project in which you are being paid for
producing or promoting a product or idea for your client,
you will be required to pay for the rights to use my materials.
"Payment" for the rights to use an image or other
materials will be made in the form of a cash donation to any
active charity, cause, or protection group of your choice.
The minimum amount of this donation will be $100.00/US per
"instance" for projects with budgets under $5000.00,
and will be 2% of any project whose budget or expected profits
exceeds $5000.00.
You are required to contact
me (@@@) before assuming permission has been
granted, and are required to present proof of your donation
prior to receiving signed written permission to use the materials.
Once we establish communications, all other details will be
worked out, and any additional agreements made.
